| Objective: To study the protective effect of activating microcirculation and removing stasis ( ) medical herbs on the vascular endothelium of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) patients .Methods: Forty MODS patients were radomly divided into 2 groups : routine western medicine treatment group (control group) and western medical combined with traditional Chinese medicine treatment group (TCM group). In TCM group, patients took orally activating microcirculation and removing stasis decoction 200ml, twice per day , for 8 days . All the patients were determined the thrombomodulin (TM), Von willebrand factor (vWF) and counted polymorphorluclear (PMN) in the 1st day and the 2nd , 4th, 8th days . TM and vWF were determined by emzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) , PMN were determined by niteroblue tetrazolium (NBT). Twenty healthy volunteers were detected as normal control. Results : (1)The TM , vWF, PMN values of control group and TCM group were significantly high than the normal (all P <0.001), and there was no difference on the 1 st day and the 2th day of the 3 indexes . And there were significantly decreased inTCM group compared to the control group in the 4th and 8th days . Furthermore , there was no difference in the 8th day between TCM group and normal group about TM and vWF . APACHEIII scores and MODS scores significantly decreased in TCM group compared to the control group in the 8th day .(2) TM and vWF, PMN, APACHEIII scores, MODS scores were respectively positive correlation . correlation index were respectively r,=0.437, P<0.01,r2=0.628, P<0.001, r3=0.377, P<0.05, r4=0.380, P<0.05, r5=0.446, P<0.01, r6=0.739, P<0.001, r7=0.694, P<0.001, r8=0.728, P<0.001.(3) Respire rats, heart rats, clinical biochemical indexs and arterial blood pallygas index of TCM group were superior to control group in the 8th day. The mortal incidence of TCM group was significantly lower than control group in the 20th day . Conclusion : activating microcirculation and removing stasis decoction has pretective effect to the vascular endothelium of MODS patients . Efficency of TCM group was superior to control group in MODS patients . |
