Objective To analyse the in-patient constituent ratio on liver cirrhosis, bring forward its familiar pathogeny, mostly complication , fatality rate and correlation factor, for offering basis for more prevent liver cirrhosis in the department of digestive diseases of the first affiliated hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from 1991 to 2001 . Methods Adopting the retrospection survey means, to diagnoses all diagnose case history datas during past twelve years. Results 1 The onset constituent ratio and fatality rate of liver cirrhosis reposefully descend, but the in-patient quantity take on ascendance trend. 2 Sex: male/female ratio equal to 2.5: 1. 3 Age: 45 to 60 age segment is frequent. 4 Race: the han nationality: other nationality ratio equal to 5: 1.5 Pathogeny: Virus hepatitis account for 69.87%, thereinto HBV (+)91.20%. 6 Complication: Upper gastrointestinal bleeding 35.55% , water and electrolyte turbulence 25.14% , hepatocellular carcinoma 12.57% , hepatic encephalopathy 10.98% , secondary infection 10.40%, hepacorenal syndrome 5.35% .7 The cause of death : Exsanguine shock of upper19gastrointestinal bleeding 39.50% hepatic , encephalopathy 27.73%, hepatorenal syndrome 15.13%, hepatocellular carcinoma 10.92%, secondary infection 4.20% , others 2.52%. 8 Prediction: To 2005, the onset proportion (9.33%) and fatality rate (4.45% )on liver cirrhosis of the department of digestive diseases in our hospital.
