Experimental Research On The Nerve Protective Effect Of Preventing Cerebral Ischemia By Tonifying Kidney, Purging Phlegm, Restoring Qi And Activating Blood

In this article, we review systematically the cognitions of ancient doctors in cerebral ischemia, summarize the research progress of contemporary medicine in treating this disease and think that the pathogenesis of cerebral ischemia is insufficiency of the kidney and phlegm and stagnant blood clogging aperture, which is the syndrome of deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality. Deficiency in origin is inadequate of kidney essence and insufficiency of marrow reservoir. Excess in superficiality is phlegm and stagnant blood clogging apertures. Deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality influence mutally, which formulate a malignant circle. In view of the pathogenesis of cerebral ischemia and the clinical experience of professor XieNing, we adopted tonifying kidney, purging phlegm, restoring Qi and activating blood to prevent cerebral ischemia, changed ancient prescription-Dihuang Yinzi and formulated compound prescriptions.In order to probe into the therapeutics mechanism of the prescription, we have carried out animal experiment. We adopted MCAO model to observe the activity of NOS, the content of NO and blood glucose and the influence on bFGF-FGFRl in the brain tissue after occluding middle cerebral artery (MCA) for 24h. The result shows: Jiajian Dihuang Yinzi can lower the activity of NOS, reduce the production of NO, inhibit the increase of blood glucose and enhance the expression of bFGF-FGFRl, so that the nerve tissue is protected and its repair is promoted.
