Clinical Study And Experimental Study On Treatment Of PCOS With Wen Shen Tiao Jing Granule

Objective To investigate the effect and mechanism of Wen Shen Tiao Jing Granule in treating patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) diagnosed deficiency of kidney-Yang. Methods 60 patients with PCOS diagnosed deficiency of kidney-Yang were divided into two groups randomly. Wen Shen Tiao Jing Granule was given to treatment class including 30 patients. At the same time Tiao Jing Cu Yun Wan was given control class including 30 patients. Observe the changes of clinical symptoms and signs, serum hormones (FSH, LH, PRL, ?, T, FT, INS), basic body temperature and ultrasonic examination. Results Total effective rate gets to 86.67% in treatment class, while total effective rate gets to 63.33% in control class and there is significant differencing between them (p<0.05). The results of the animal experiment manifest that Wen Shen Tiao Jing Granule can decrease the levels of serum INS, serum T, and serum LH in hyperandrogenism anovulatory rats. Conclusion There are Hyperandrogensim, Hyperinsulinemia, and high levels of serum LH, in patients with PCOS and herbs of replenishing kidney-Yang can work through decreasing the levels of serum INS, serum T, and serum LH, so as to enhance ovulation.
