Clinical Study Of The Correlation Between Transforming Growth-factor Betal And Type 2 Diabetic Nephropathy | | Posted on:2003-09-27 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:K L Chen | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2144360062490218 | Subject:Science of endocrine and metabolic diseases | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | OBJECTIVE : to study the correlation between serum transforming growth-factor betal and diabetic nephropathy in type 2 diabetic patients, we detected l)the serum levels of transforming growth-factor betal of 120 cases( type 2 diabetes without diabetic nephropathy: n- 30;type 2 diabetes with diabetic nephropathy : n=30 ; normal group : n=30 ; non-diabetic nephropathy : n= 32); 2) the levels of plasma angiotensin II (An II), glycosylated serum protein(GSP),fasting plasma glucose (FBG),serum type IV collagen in normal group /diabetic group /diabetic nephropathy group respectively, and urinary albumin excretion rate in diabetic nephropathy group at the same time.MATERIALS : fasting venous serum : stored at -40℃ for transforming growth-factor betal and typelV collagen ;fasting venous plasma:stored at -40癈 for GSP, Ang II (added with enzyme inhibitors, supplied with the reagent) .24-hour urine for albumin excretion rate.METHODS .-transforming growth-factor betal .'Enzyme-linked Immuno Sorbent Assay (ELISA) ; type IV collagen : Enzyme-linked Immuno Sorbent Assay (ELISA) ; Angiotensin II : ladioimmunoassay; fasting plasma glucose : glucose oxidase assays ; glycosylated serum protein : frutosamine colorimetry.RESULTS: 1) the variances of serum transforming growth- factor betal between the diabetics with nephropathy,type 2 diabetics without nephro-pathy and the control group are significant respectively (p<0.01 respectively);2)the correlations between transforming growth-factor betal and type IVcollagen /urinary albumin excretion rate/ typelVcollagen/ urinary albumin excretion rate are significant respectively ( r=0.6560, 0.7414, 0.4882;p<0.01 respectively).3) the levels of serum transforming growth-factor betal are correlated positively with serum glycosylated serum protein and case courses in diabetics with nephropathy (p<0.01 respectively) ;4)the variances of transforming growth-factor betal between the diabetics with nephropathy and other non-diabetic nephropathy are not significant (p>0.05) .CONCLUTIONS: l)the raised transforming growth-factor betal is a very important factor to diabetic nephro-pathogenesis but not the results of diabetic nephropathy;2)serum type IV collagen can be regarded as an early survying indicator for diabetic nephropathy;3) TGF- P i are not the mechanism unique to diabetic nephropathy ,but also to other nephropathy;4) multiple methods should be taken to prevent the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | transforming, growth-factor betal (TGF-β1), type Ⅳ collagen, glycosylated serum protein(GSP), angiotensin Ⅱ(AngⅡ), urinary albumin excretion rates (UAER) | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
