Study On Therapeutic And Conversion Effects Of Xiaoweiling On Chronic Atrophic Gastritis And Gastric Precancerous Lesions In Rats

Chronic atrophic gastritis, especially with intestinal metaplasia and/or atypical hyperplasia are considered to be precancerous lesions. Chinese medicine iaoweling is commonly used to treat with it on clinic. It has known the results of Xiaoweling's clinic test on treating with the chronic atrophic and gastric precancerous lesions are satisfied. Xiaoweling has the property of activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis~ invigorating the spleen thus dispelling the stagnated liver-Qi and softening the hard lumps to dispelling the nodes. This study has the aim to testify the therapeutic and conversion effects of Xiaoweling on chronic atrophic gastritis and/or precancerous lesions of gastric cancer in rats. A complexed method was used to establish the model that imitated the various factors which is to cause the chronic atrophic gastritis. Five group was classified in the experimental. Normal group: not to establish the model; Model group: established the model for 90 days, then was killed and inspected; Xiaoweling low dose therapy group: established the model for 90 days, then treated with Xiaoweling lOg/kg/d for 50 days; Xiaoweling high dose therapy group: established the model for 90 days, then treated with Xiaoweling 2OgIkg/d for 50 days; Weimeisu therapy group: established the model for 90 days, then treated with Weimeisu lg/kg/d for 50 days. The pathological changes of their gastric mucosa, the quantification analysis of their nuclear DNA contents, the gastric mucosal blood flow, plasma motilin leves and image analysis of morphometric assessments were all measured. So the therapeutic and conversion effects of Xiaoweling on chronic atrophic gaStritis and/or precancerous lesion ofgastric cancer could be surveyed in rats.ResuItst (l)In model grOuP, the rate of gastric mucosal get thin is 90 percent andgland get atrophy group is 70 percent, the rate of intestinal metaplasia andampical hyperplsia is 40 percent and 20 percent.
