Experimental Study of Biomechanics on Femoral Neck Fracture Treated with Internalfixation ofThree Squama-stria NailsMajor:Traumatology and Orthopedics of TCMApplicant:Qi ZhengxiTutor:Prof. Wang HemingABSTRACTIt is a commonly-used treatment in clinical that using squama-stria nails punctured through skin to internalfix fractures of the femoral neck. The internalfixation with three squama-stria nails which crossing over each other has the effect of fixation in many-direction. And this fixation is according to the biomechanics criterion. So this treatment can make the fixation firmly, fast the healing of fracture and derease the occuring of necrosis of femoral head. The treating effect is satisfied. In order to seek the mechanics effect and search the best combination of three nails, we use the methods of electric measure and photoelastic experiment to study the laws of stress distribute in the femoral neck and different stresses conditions when the three nails fixxed at different body posture and different combination. At the same time,we use the mechanical measurement method to measure the vertical displacement of femoral head under different condition. The results showed:l.The internalfixation of squama-stria nails is according to the theory of biomechanics of femoral neck.2.At the state of whole-fracture of femoral neck, the three nalils all endure great stress.3.The three nails endure different stresses at the state of different posture of body.4.The best fixation effect is the three nails making a shape of upside down of triangle.5.The bigger of the crossing angle of the three nails, the better the fixation effect.6.The best depth of the nails inside the femoral neck is the tip of nails touch the edge of spherical surface of the femoral head.
