Crofton Weed (Eupatorium adenophorum Spreng) was introduced in our country around 1950. And Mkania micrantha H.B.K was introduced in our country around 1980. They caused serious economic loss and had caused wide public concern. This paper is to use those plants completely and fully to make those waste materials usefully.This paper includes four parts: 1. Study on alcohol extraction of chlorogenic acid in Eupatorium adenophorum Spreng by orthogonal experiment. 2. Separation and purification of chlorogenic acid from Eupatorium adenophorum Spreng by macroporous resin. 3. Comparison of content of chlorogenic acid in defferent area, elevation and harvest time of eupatorium adenophorum spreng. 4. Analysis of the chemical composition of the pigment extraction from Mkania micrantha H.B.K by GC-MS.The main results were as follows:1. Factors influencing the yield of chlorogenic acid from the Eupatorium adenophorum Spreng were studied by orthogonal and single factors analysis experiments. The order of the influencing significance of the parameters tested is : temperature > pH> solid/liquid ratio > extraction time > ethanol concentration.2. Objective to investigate the optimized procedure in purification process of chlorogenic acids from the eupatorium adenophorum spreng with macroporous adsorption resins. Twelve types of macroporous adsorption resins were compared on their adsorption and desorption properties for chlorogenic acid. The technical process for purification of chlorogenic acids with the macroporous resin was screened by transfer and desorption rate of chlorogenic acids. The HPD100-type macroporous resin was selected as the best adsorption carrier and the optimum adsorption-elution conditions were obtained. The HPD100-type macroporous resin shows better comprehensive property and can be used to isolate and purify the chlorogenic acids from eupatorium adenophorum spreng.Chlorogenic acid was enriched by macroporous resin HPD100 and silica gel column. Finally the purity can reach 98% after recrystallization.The operation was simple and low cost. And it could obtain chlorogenic acid which was high purity. It provided efficient and reliable method for industrial production.3. To investigate the dynamic accumulated on chlorogenic acid in eupatorium adenophorum spreng. The content of chlorogenic acid in eupatorium adenophorum spreng was determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) on Zorbax Eclipse XDB-C18 (9.4mm×25cm). The content of chlorogenic acid in leaves of eupatorium adenophorum spreng was higher than the content in flowers and stems. The content of chlorogenic acid was decling if the altitudes was higher than 1900 meters. The content of chlorogenic acid in eupatorium adenophorum spreng harvested during April was more than July. The content of chlorogenic acid in eupatorium adenophorum spreng is connected with area, altitudes, harvest time and plant parts.4. To identify the chemical constituents of the pigment extraction from Mkania micrantha H.B.K. The pigment constituents were extracted from Mkania micrantha H.B.K by water and the chemical constituents were separated and identified by GC-MS, and the percentage contents of composition were determined by peak area normalization method. The results showed that 116 peaks were separated and 59 peaks accounting for 95.34% of the total extraction were identified. The major constituents are plant steroids, esters and amides, in addition, heterocycle and ethers and so on.
