In recent years, construction and research of information system on soil and water conservation are conducted more at home and abroad. Because monitoring points are decentralized and data is needed to be centralized, realization of distributed data upload application in information system on soil and water conservation is become more and more urgent. And Web Services is an ideal method to solve distributed application. In many platforms of Web Services, .NET has an obvious advantage. And their combination can build distributed architecture application very well.Research of this paper is from Monitoring Network and Information System on Soil and Water Conservation of Hubei Province. The data upload module of it is a distributed application with lots of information processing nodes. It needs a reasonable architecture to realize. In this paper, many architecture models in different situations are researched with these technologies above. Besides, this paper combines these research achievements and the specific system. An N-layer distributed architecture model for data upload module is designed by analysing the particular situation. In the end, the module which is brought out with .NET and Web Services provides the function of data upload form Access database of multi-subsystem in many monitoring points to Oracle database of many monitoring substations for the specific system. In the process of achieving, problems such as data upload form multi-subsystem in different monitoring points to different databases, different upload methods for different subsystems by one concentrated Web Service, security of Web Services access and database, and the bottleneck of data size for upload with Web Service, are all considered and solved. And the N-layer distributed data upload achieved has fine properties, including high security, easy upgrade, high efficiency, strong portability and user-friendly.
