We analyzed the effect of physiological and biochemical mechanism of preservative, on the basis of the creation of lily Preservative 1 and Preservative 2. We also studied the effect of lily cut flower preservation under different pretreatment solutions. The main results show as follows:1. Preservative 1 and Preservative 2 was confected with sucrose, 8-hydroxyl quinoline, cytokinin and minerals, by which the vase treatment on Siberia and Marshal was conducted. The result indicated that both of them could prolong vase life of cut lily flowers, lengthen the flower, and maintain the relative stability of flower valve structure, decrease the creasing of MDA and the decreasing of soluble protein, increase SOD and the CAT activeness, increase the chlorophyll synthesis ,and decrease the decreasing of chlorophyll. The effect of Preservative 1 was better than Preservative 2. The life of lily cut flower treated by Preservative 2 was prolonged for 6 days comparing with the control (treated with clear water).2. We studied life and quality on Siberia and Marshal by 4 different pretreatment. The result indicated that the 4 pretreatment solutions all can lengthened the life of the lily cut flower, maintain the relative stability of flower valve structure. The life of lily cut flower treated by pretreatment solution D was prolonged for 7 days comparing with the control (treated with clear water).
