Waxy corn from China,Zea mays L.Ceratina Kulesh,is a subspecies of Z.mays . Waxy corn is the pre-cious maize germ plasm. The spectrum origin is indistinct in Waxy corn, and the methods by means of pedigree, Because most of material in waxy corn came from peasant and non-agronomist, the line orig-in of some inbred lines could not be sought and the genetic relationship is indistinct, furthermore , com-bining ability and zymograms embody some shortcoming, so drawing lessons from studying the means of heterotic groups in corn inbred lines we research and groups of Waxy corn inbred lines utilizing SSR in order to reduce the hybridization blindness and improve efficiency and level in Waxy corn breeding.The genetic diversity of waxy corns is of theoretical and practical importance for the genetic and breed-ing studies of waxy corn Using SSR markers, the genetic diversity 30 waxy corn germplasms from so-me provinces was studied .The results were obtained as follows:1. Twenty-one of thirty-six maize nucleus DNA SSR primers amplified polymorphism bands .The percent of polymorphism SSR primers was 58.33%. Polymorphism SSR primers searched one hundred and one alleles .The average allele number of each polymorphism SSR primers was 4.81,SSR research indicated that good polymorphism of SSR map which showed the high differential ability of the primers.2. The shortest genetic distance in 30 waxy corn is waxy corn inbred lines Bainuo567,Bainuo567-2,Huangnuo566-7,Huangnuo326,Huangnuo566-8and 02xuan422,and genetic distance is0.0000; The genetic distance and genetic similarity, 02xuan302-3 and Kenhuan7, is 0.8204 and 0.1796, the probability of 02xuan302-3 and Kenhuan7 select better hybrid is relatively high.3. Kenhuan7,Wxuan-2,Wxuan-3,WN07 are the waxy corn inbred lines from northeast. Kenhuan7 and Wxuan-2 are Jin xiannuo101 of female parent and male parent .The genetic distance and genetic similarity between Kenhuan7 and Wxuan-2 are 0.2173 and 0.7827 respectively, and Kenhuan7 and Wxuan-2 by cross breeding may be produce good strains of waxy corn hybrid. Wxuan-3 and WN07 are female parent and male parent of Jinnong3, The genetic distance and genetic similarity is 0.1111 and 0.8889 respectively; Wxuan-3 and Bainuo567 is Jin xiannuo106, the genetic distance is 0.0344. Inbred lines in the identical group hybrid may be produce good strains of waxy corn hybrid, but the probability of this is relatively low.
