Purpose:By making use of the epidemiological investigation method, this paper filtered out 110 cases of the clinical data in line with the standard for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with hypertension disease, and investigated the characteristics of common TCM Syndromes of hypertension for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, and the relationship between the syndrome types and indexes by using cluster analysis statistical method, theoretical basis was provided for clinical treatment. Material and method:Based on the screening methods for The type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with hypertension disease epidemiological survey of screening,this paper included the general information, medical and family history, and TCM symptoms four diagnostic information etc. for 110 cases of the patient who meet the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria for type 2 diabetes and hypertension. All the data was summarized and generated into Microsoft Excel 2007 software so that the database was set-up and the statistical software SPSS19.0 was utilized for frequency analysis and cluster analysis etc. in order to discuss the hypertension TCM syndrome distribution pattern for type 2 diabetes mellitus. Results: 1. The result for cluster analysis summarized 4 syndromes, which were separately the deficiency of both Qi and Yin(38 cases and account for 34.55%), the liver Yang hyperactivity(32 cases and account for 29.10%), the Yang of the spleen and kidney(23 cases and account for 20.90%), the blood stasis syndrome which was the least(17 cases and account for 15.45%). List in order of descending percentage from high to low was: the deficiency of both Qi and Yin, the liver Yang hyperactivity, the deficiency of the Yang of the spleen and kidney, the blood stasis blockage. 2. Statistically difference existed by comparing Age and Syndrome distribution, the deficiency of both Qi and Yin had the youngest age. BMI and syndrome distribution also had the statistically difference, the deficiency of the Yang of the spleen and kidney had the highest percentage, The duration of the diabetes and hypertension which had large proportion were 5- 10 years and 11- 20 years. 3.Blood lipid, glycosylated hemoglobin, 24 h ambulatory blood pressure had statistically difference comparing with syndrome distribution, in which the TC index deficiency of the Yang of the spleen and the blood stasis blockage were higher than that of other syndromes. In the glycosylated hemoglobin, the deficiency of Qi and Yin was higher than other syndromes. In the 24 h mean systolic pressure, the mean systolic blood pressure during the day and the night average systolic blood pressure was the highest. Conclusion:The result for cluster analysis summarizes 4 syndromes, which were separately the deficiency of both Qi and Yin, the syndrome of liver Yang hyperactivity, the deficiency of the Yang of the spleen and kidney, and the syndrome of blood stasis blockage, in which the deficiency of both Qi and Yin was the most cases, followed by the syndrome of liver Yang hyperactivity and the deficiency of the Yang of the spleen and kidney, and the syndrome of blood stasis blockage was the least. |
