Professor Wang Xuefeng 's Experience In Treating Children' S Chronic Cough Based On Data Mining

Purpose : Analyzing regularity of diagnosis and treatment from theory-method-formula-herbs and clinical experience for Professor Xue-feng Wang in the treatment of children ’s chronic cough by using data mining method. Method:Collecting outpatient cases 403, totally visiting clinically 730 times from pediatric department,affiliated hospital in Liao Ning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Applying structural electronic medical records system,and collecting clinical data, using frequency analysis to summarize frequency regularity of common formula 、 herbs 、 syndrome patterns and symptoms;Using association rules to analyze and summarize correlation regularity of syndrome pattern-chinese herbs、symptoms-chinese herb and chinese herbs-chinese herbs; using complex network to analyze regularity of general chinese herbs and compatibility of all the herbs in each syndrome pattern and compatible application. Results:Professor Xue-feng wang treated chronic cough in children,which clinical classification included wind-heat invading the lung syndrome, Qi deficiency of lung and spleen syndrome, phlegm heat invading lung syndrome, deficiency of lung Yin syndrome,liver fire invading lung syndrome,obstruction of lung orifices syndrome and reverse flow of qi in lung and stomach syndrome,and each syndrome pattern all have their own dialectical features.In addition,the top 5 of clinical common symptom for this disease were cough、runny nose、nasal congestion、expectoration and gurgling with sputum in the throat according to the frequency.This study included 106 herbs in cases prescription,including common herbs(core prescription) 16 herbs: Huangqin、Qianhu、Zhisangpi、Maidong、Zhipipaye、Lugen、Chaoxingren、Fuling、Jiegeng、Jinyinhua、Zhiziyuan、Jiaozhu、Gualou 、 Zisuzi 、 Jiaosanjiao and Xuansen(Jiaosanxian as a whole),totally including 23 classical prescriptions as foundation,the top five common formula included Sangbaipi decoction、Yinqiao powder、Sijunzi decoction、Qingjinhuatan decoction and Zengye decoction according to frequency.Have data mining for 730 prescriptions, and sum up eight groups,which were commonly used for add and subtract compatibility combination,including Yujin、Hehuan 、 Yuanzhi and Shichangpu for soothing the liver and resolving depression,Honghua、Danshen and Mudanpi for promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis, Banxia、Zhuru、Fushou、Chenpi for regulating qi-flowing for strengthening spleen and downbear counterflow and stopping vomiting activating blood circulation, Zhiqiaoand Jiujun for downward purging,Peilan and Sharen for resolving dampness,Zhimu and Huangbai for nourishing yin and clearing heat,Yuliren and Huomaren for looseing the bowel to relieve constipation,Quanxie and Qingxiangzi for clearing liver heat and tranqulizing wind to dredge meridians. Conclusion: Treatment methods for Professor Wang to treat chronic cough are mainly characterized by clearing and discharging lung heat, eliminating phlegm and stopping cough,then invigorating spleen and nourishing Qi and Yin,lastly selecting formula with syndrome pattern and symptom differentiation.
