| A laboratory-scale experiment was conducted with alfalfa to determine the effects of different silage additive on ensiling under the laboratory and round-baled silige conditions. The silage additive under the laboratory conditions include : Formic acid at the rate of 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8 %; propionic acid at the rate of 0.4,0.6 and 0.8 % ;Yi-Sheng Biokeen at the rate of 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8 % ;wheat flour at the rate of 33.3 %; maize stalk at the rate of 33.3 %. The silage additive under the round-baled silige condition include : Formic acid at the rate of 0.8%;cane suger at the rate of 0.2%.Silige fermentation quality was analyzed after forty days in-of door store and 60 days out-of doors store..Results from experiments under the laboratory conditions showed all the silage additives can improve the quality of silage. In whole, on the basis of acidity, Formic acid exhibits the first, Biokeen, metacetonic acid, wheat flour, maize stalk take turns.Results from experiments showed under the round-baled silige condition showed Formic acid and cane suger can improve the quality of silage,improve the preserve function and keep the alfalfa original nutritive specific.Synthetical evaluate,suitable additions can improve the quality of silage,improve the preserve function. |
