In this research pure chemical NaCl was used to stress on 12 tropical forage species in germination period and seedling period ,to observe a series of obtain physiological responses to the salinity and to the salinity tolerance strong or weak by means of the physiologic indexes is evaluated.The results showed that:(1)We treated those forage species at different salinity density (0.2%,0.4%, 0.6%,0.8%,1.0%,1.2%,1.4% and 1.6%—quality percentage of water) and fond relative germination percentage,relative germination,relative germination index at seed germanous of S.guianensis cv.No.7 and B.ruziziensis Germain & Evrard were increased at low degree stress within 0.2-0.6% salt concentration,and were decreased when salt concentration was increasing.It indicated that low salt stress can promote the germination of them,but high salt stress resulted in decreasing of three indexes of all species. The descent degrees have relation to different forage species. We fond the B.ruziziensis Germain & Evrard, S.guianensis cv.No.7 and S.scabra cv.Seca Vog have the more salt tolerance however the Paspalum atratum cv.Reyan No. 11 and Panivum Jacq.Key an No. 9 have salt tolerance smaller in germination period.(2)Those forage seedlings were treated at different salinity density(0.1%, 0.2%, 0.3%, 0.4% and 0.5%—quality percentage of soil) and found that with the increasing of treat salinity density and treat time ,its normal growth progress were decreased while its rapidity and degree of wilting and numbers of plant death were increased. At the same time ,the change of leave color was from green to yellow even wilt and death of some plants. The plants such as S.guianensis cv. Reyan No.2, S. guianensis cv.Reyan No.5, S. guianensis cv. Reyan No. 10, S.scabra cv. Seca Vog, S.hamata cv. Verano, B.dictyoneura stapf and B. Hybrid FM 9201/1873 showed the normal growth at 0.1%;most of species showed the light salt injury or middle salt injury at 0.2%,but the Paspalum atratum cv.Reyan No. 11 was all...
