Flowers are one of the important economic crops in China. With the development of the living standards of people and the aesthetic requirements, the quality requirements of the flower are increasing. In the auction market, different quality’s flowers with the different transaction prices. Therefore, the quality of flowers not only related to the ornamental value, but also determined the economic value of the flowers. Flowers are also a kind of climate sensitive crop, climatic factors temperature, sunshine and rainfall are the main factors contribute to the quality of flowers. On the other hand, the flower auction is an economic behavior, although the standard economic theory is based on the assumes that people are rationality and their preferences unchanged, but the existing literature data indicate there are a strong link between income and weather in stock market, art auction market and other trading venues. In addition, psychological research shows optimistic and positive attitude of people concerned with the sunny weather, the weather will affect people’s emotions, thereby affecting human behavior tendencies. To the flower auction market, has not yet been retrieved documents related to the transaction price and climate studies. Therefore, this article uses dates of cut roses in Kunming International Flower Auction Trading Center (referred to as "KIFA") as an example, based on the Domestic and foreign academic research, Combining literature and empirical analysis, with the quality standards of cut roses in KIFA for analyzing the impact of climate on quality of flowers and transaction price. To provide a theoretical basis of using climate resources to promote people produce high quality flowers, and provide a new perspective for research about the affecting factors of price in fresh agricultural auction market. The full text is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is the introduction. It introduces the research background, meaning, content, methods, and research progress. The second chapter describes the quality grading standards of cut roses in KIFA, and explores which climatic factor can affect the flower quality and transaction price. The third chapter analysis the research dates, including the quality data of cut roses, climate data in Jin ning County, transaction price data of cut roses, weather data of Cheng gong area, and establishment research hypothesis of this paper, based on the above analysis of existing literature and theory. The forth Chapter Ⅳ and the fifth Chapter is part of empirical research. The fourth chapter examines major climatic factors to impact flower quality. Our sample includes 12 months of cut rose flower quality data and climate data in Jin ning County. By analysis the classical literature to determine variable climatic factors associated with floral quality indicators, and establishing research hypotheses and research model, research results are as follows:(1) there is a negative correlation between disease and temperature, there is a positive correlation between rainfall and disease; (2) pest has a positive correlation with temperature and rainfall; (3) the grade defect increases with increasing temperature; (4) the stem defects reduced with the increases length of sunlight; (5) Flowers defects decrease with increased rainfall; (6) the increase of temperature, rainfall and sunshine hours can make the branch length increase; (7) increased rainfall and sunshine hours can gain the weight of cut roses. (8) Garden path of flower will become larger with increasing sunshine; (9) there is a significantly positively correlation between the maturity and the temperature, and there is a significant negative between the maturity and rainfall; (10) spring and summer is more appropriate for high quality roses growth in Jin ning County. In August:too few hours of sunshine, high temperature, rainfall above normal, output the largest number of high-quality roses. In March and April:sunshine hours above normal, low temperature, rainfall below normal, output high-quality rose once more. (11) high temperature have a positive effect on quality of cut roses in greenhouse; (12) the length and shed light quality cut greenhouse roses negative correlation; (13) there is a positive correlation between rainfall and high-quality of cut roses in greenhouse. The fifth chapter examines the effects of different climatic conditions on flower auction prices. Our sample includes 12 months of cut roses transaction price data and climate data in Cheng gong and KIFA Located in there. By analysis the classical literature to determine variable climatic factors associated with mood, and use regression method analysis the relationship between climatic factors and cut roses auction price based on our research hypotheses. The results are as follows:(1) the sunny weather in Cheng gong has a positive impact on the transaction price; (2) the overcast and rainy day in Cheng gong have a negative effect on the transaction price; (3) Cloudy day has no effect on the transaction price; (4) The high temperature has a negative effect on the transaction price. The sixth chapter summarizes our findings to impact of climate on quality of flowers and transaction price, and put forward suggestions. Among them, the influence of climate on the quality of the flowers:increased focus on meteorological information, used climate law to carry out planting; Improve Greenhouse farmland cultivation facilities, use climate change floriculture; strengthen climate monitoring, improve climate information publication platform; establish a scientific climate assessment measures, make planting flowers zoning reasonable. The impact of climate on the transaction price:Attention about climate change information, make scientific bidding strategy; considering the weather information, develop flower auction price; use grading standardized system to assessment flowers to improve the accuracy of flowers. Finally, describe the lack of this article and future content.
