Cycloidal planetary gear speed reducer have been widely used in all kinds of equipment. Compact structure,minimum volume,light weight,high drive ratio,strong load-bearing capacity,smooth movement,low noise,high efficient transmission,reliability work and long working life are its special features. Pin-roll output mechanism's pin and roller is cycloidal planetary gear speed reducer of the key components, its carrying capacity, operational reliability and service life of a direct impact on the performance of reducer.As a new technology of products design, Virtual Prototype is a revolution to traditional method of products design. Based on Virtual Prototype, we can find underlying problems just during products design by simulating the mechanical system, and revise them quickly so as to throw off the Physical Prototype, which not only can save the cost of design and manufacturing and reduce the cycle of products development, but also can elevate product's performance and enhance product's competition.In order to adapt to the domestic economy on high-tech fields, improve our cycloidal drive technology level, this paper made the following several aspects of the work:On the basis of intensive studies on the principles and theories of engagement of cycloidal drive, this paper presents four types of output mechanisms, which focuses on the pin-roll output mechanism. The author discusses the methods of refined calculating the force of pin-roll output mechanism of cycloidal drive and the stress of pins and rollers.The assembly drawing of cycloidal driver is obtained based on the establishment of parametric modeling and the assembly of all components by UG. The prototype model of cycloidal drive is builded for motion simulation which verities the motion characteristics of the pin-roll output mechanism.The simplified cycloidal drive prototype model is established,which is transformed to import ABAQUS. The finite element model is obtained through simplifying the model, defining the materials and section properties, setting the analytic process, dividing the lattice and applying the load and the boundary conditions. Stress analysis of pin and roller is carried out and the valuable conclusions are concluded.
