The project originates from the National Science and Technology Supporting Program, named"The Research on Cycloid Enveloping Planetary Precision Transmission"(No. 2006BAF01B08). Precision transmission is a kind of mechanical transmission mainly focuses on transmitting movement in high precision, it is widely used in many areas, such as aviation and spaceflight, weaponry and equipment, NC machine tools, robot, precision machinery, printing and packaging machinery, transportation machinery, medical apparatus and so on. Precision transmission is an important basic component in manufacturing and equipment industry, national defense industry. The second enveloping cycloidal planetary transmission is a new kind of transmission, which is the innovation and development in the field of cycloid type planetary transmission. The cycloidal meshing pairs possess the characteristics of multi-tooth meshing, and double line contact of the pair of gear tooth in some field are also existed. Furthermore, the induced normal curvature of contacting point approaching to zero. It is exactly these characteristics improving the load capacity and lubricity of the sets. Besides, the contact points increase plays the averaging effect of errors fully, which is beneficial to improving the transmission precision. Therefore, it has important theoretical significance and reference value in the engineering practice to develop studies deeply and systematically on the force analysis and strengths research.Major contents of the thesis as follows:â‘ Based on brief introduction of the theory about second enveloping planetary transmission, the basic meshing characteristics of it is discussed. The formulas correlated to the mechanics feature are deduced to calculate the geometrical parameters, and the foundation of the force analysis on cycloidal meshing pairs is established.â‘¡Force analysis on the second enveloping cycloidal meshing pairs is established, and theoretical research on the contact strength of meshing tooth is developed.â‘¢Force and strength analysis about the floating plate output mechanism are carried out, and study on life of spin arm bearings is also developed. Comparative analysis with the floating plate type and the pin-holes type are also presented. Discussed the force state of joint pins of the new type output mechanism, and completed the corresponding finite element analysis by the ANSYS software.â‘£According to the result of theoretical research, a set of secondary enveloping cycloidal planetary transmission is designed, the modeling is carried out by Pro/ENGINEER software, and take part in the trial-production.
