This paper was based on predecessors' researches and a host of internal external data, thedistribution characteristic and constraint characteristics of varying aperture distributor in theliquid-solid circulating bed heat exchanger was simulated based on three-dimensional fullNavierStokes(N-S) equations. Computational fluid dynamics(CFD) results implementing aEulerian model with standard k-e turbulence show that varying aperture distributor with smallhole rate can play the role of uniform distribution. These type of simulation can givequalitatively reasonable agreement with experimental measurements. This confirmed theapplicability of the model and parameters for an experimental device of three-dimensional flows. The constraint characteristics of the distributor was also analyzed. The results show that thedistributor with small hole rate has high performance. The circulating particles were increasedand constraint characteristics was reduced at high flow velocity.By the simulations of the scaled up liquid-solid circulating bed heat exchangerexperimental, The radial distribution of particle velocity and solid holdup in the heat exchangetube were investigated in different installing height of scale up variable pore size distributor anddifferent liquid inlet velocity. The simulation results show that scale up variable pore sizedistributor play the role of uniform distribution.
