The sliding faces of sealing rings are the dominant sealing faces in the mechanical seals which play an important role in determing performance of the friction, wear and the sealing mechanical face seals. In order to improve the sealing performance and the lubrication between the clearance of sealing faces of mechanical seals, surface texturing technology has been used in the mechanical seal and various geometry forms in the seal faces has been processed, which is an effective method, to work without contacting and leaking.Based on the theory of fluid liquid hydrodynamic lubrication film form, a mathematics model is developed to allow performance prediction of fluid liquid hydrodynamic lubrication for mechanical seals with regular micro-surface geometrical structure. And then, use multi-grid method to solve the mathematics model. Dimensionless average pressure of the film between the two sliding faces is used to estimate the performance of the lubrication, analyzing the connections between mechanical seal operation parameters.The macro-groove upstream pumping is set in the sealing ring face wiht a spiral angle, depth, spacing dç–¤?ibution,and geometric shape; the same time, the micro-cavity is textured in the sealing dam and weir locale with a certain diameter, depth and density.A new technology of laser surface micro-molding is introduced, and the mechanical face seal ring cross-scale processing of the geometric shape is researched.For the efficiency of laser processing to rigid mechanical seal ring groove surface pumping is low, our task group proposed a seal ring groove surface pumping rapid prototyping processing technology. That is directly add the punch pressing process in the existing mature seal ring SiC sintering process to realize the surface of pumping seal ring groove shape. Through analysis and comparison of several molding process, as well as several characteristics of suppressing mold, while using two-way pressure, pull down the type stripping method to suppress the hole with thin ring-type seal ring. This method is simple, easy, uniform green density.Rapid Prototyping of mold is designed,rapid prototyping of technical rules to be optimized,and seal ring carried out the initial trial RP specimens, obtained by sintering the sample has been tested to meet the requirements of basic.This rapid prototyping method, preparation of punch is simple, easy to change, shape, high efficiency, low cost, suitable for large-scale production.
