The modeling and simulation is an important way to understand the principle and dynamic behaviors of the TBS (Turbine System). It is also significant for optimizing the design, production and operation of the thermal power plants, and this topic has become a hot topic in the field of the thermal power plants system. It analyses the current issues of modeling thermal power units, and sums up the domestic and international turbine system modeling development status,and introduces the Dymola/Modelica into the modeling of thermal power system. Modelica is based on OOM (Object Oriented Method) and equations, it is in accord with the rule that people learning the world. The connection of the components is physical connection. In this paper,it builds a model library of the steam turbine system,and a simulation model,which is used by the erection of the steam turbine system, is constructed.And it analyses the simulation results under different main-steam parameters.The simulation results show the feasibility of modeling thermal power plants with the Modelica modeling language.
