With the development of the fields in electric apparatus, electronic skills, controlling skills and computer skills etc, the theory of frequency conversion and speed adjusting as well as the products have been applied in the industry widely. The application of frequency conversion and speed adjusting is a certain tendency in the various ranks of pulling system of electric pressure.This paper analyzes the theory of frequency conversion and speed adjusting as well as different controlling ways, such as vector controlling, direct torque controlling, and various PWM adjusting ways, including sine PWM, space vector PWM, current following PWM etc, and some artificial tests have been passed; It also introduces the energy saving theory of frequency conversion and speed adjusting and its practical significance;This paper puts up with the general principles and steps of the system design of frequency conversion and speed adjusting, in combination with the character and function of the general frequency changer; it also demonstrates simply how to choose the actuating motor with frequency conversion and the volume of general frequency changer; This paper introduces the general working principles and process of the water supply system; it also introduces the design plans of driving system of my company at Beishan pressure promotion station.This paper introduces the characteristics of this system: high intensity, high security and automatic control over the constant pressure water supply course of frequency conversion and speed adjusting ect.This design gets a lot of successful experience from Shidonggou pressure station, Baiyu pressure station and Beishan pressure station of Chengde waterworks, which all have used this system for long and got good result. It analyzes the energy saving when the system works.This system works well and responses quickly, and it can save energy. It has the following characteristics comparing with the traditional water supply system: higher quality water supply, stronger flexibility, smaller electric consuming, smoother brake of the engine, and less space occupation, less cost of raw material. It decreases the working load and fault to a large extent. So the constant pressure water supply system with frequency conversion and speed adjusting, which is the most economical means, is worth spreading with prosperous prospect.At last, this paper talks about the characteristics of this system and the future work.Nowadays, the transmission system of alternating speed changing has been the main current. Due to the advantages of the general frequency converter: broad scale, high intensity, quick response, high efficiency, high horsepower, convenient operation, easy connection with other equipment, it will be applied widely.
