| The material testing machine is the instrument used widely to test mechanical character, process character and structural strength in the science and technology field and the industrial manufacture quality insurance system. With the rapid development of the testing Technology and micro-electronic technology, those measurement and control systems of traditional testing machines can't meet testing demands of user gradualy, so it is urgent that the New generation of measurement and control system for the testing machine goes forward on the way of digitization, intelligentization and integration.The testing and controlling system is the key technology of the material testing machine.Based on above background, I studied the testing and controlling system of the high precision universial material testing machine based on USB.The testing system of the universial material testing machine based on USB applies USB interface to realize the communication of upper-lower system.It has the outstanding characteristics of convenience, high speed and precision. The whole system is consisted of four sections,those are control section, data acquisitiong system, USB communicationg system and upper system.The hardware and the related software of the data acquisition system and USB communicationg system are in the charge of the lower system. In this system, FPGA is main controller, which has made Close-loop control. The 8 bits resolution ADC named ADC0809, Which is the core part of the data acquisition system, is used to realize high precision of the system. PDIUSBD12 produced by Philips which complies with the USB specification Rev1.1 is used as the USB device interface chip to realize USB communication. The upper control system use Labview as the soft ware development platform. The testing system can realize complex data acquisitiong, analysis and processing. It is able to display the real-time Load-Dispalcement, Load-Time, Displacement-Time, Stress-Time curves etc. achine.
