One important job of airbome fire control radar is to track maneuvering targets. Because of the instinct limitation of the Doppler notch, if the targets discharge jamming when maneuvering, traditional radar might not keep tracking successfully. We have to seek new ways to solve the problem. The thesis analyses the characteristics of ground clutter, especially the relation with pulse repetition frequency(PRF) and make use of real data to validate the theory, shows the logic to choose proper PRF and constant false alarm rate(CFAR) detector when tracking slowing moving targets. From the perspective of principle, performance, computation load, robustness and so on, the thesis makes a global analysis and comparison of tracking algorithms and presents the advise of choosing the efficient adaptive tracking algorithm for slow moving targets tracking. Finally, the thesis studies some problems in Space-Time Adaptive Processing (STAP), such as principle, architecture, rank reducing techniques, limitations and so on, gives an comprehensive analysis of an easy implemented algorithm-∑△-FA, which can be realized in current airborne fire control radar with mechanical antenna.
