The important problem in slope stability analysis is search of critical slip surface, which has direct relation with credibility of analysis result. Presently, Mostly search methods of critical slip surface are mathematic programming and intelligent search method based on computing soil slope. It is difficult to apply to rock slope for limit of slip surface assumption and computing quantity. Critical slip field theory is a new theory of search critical slip surface, based on limit equilibrium theory and optimization theory. It can be apply to soil slope and rock slope conveniently with strong trend.This paper present effective measure to improve the method based on its theory. Program is developed based on improved critical slip field theory. It includes some aspects as follows:1,Mostly search theories of critical slip surface are analyzed, including mathematic programming method and intelligent search method. Mathematic programming method is based on the assumption of arc or arc-polyline slide style, which is not fit for rock slope; intelligent search method dose not make an assumption for slide style in principle, but its computing quantity has exponential relationship with slide surface controlling variables. Presently, it can't consider polyline style of tens of controlling variables.2,Improving of critical slip field theory . Present critical slip field theory can't consider effect of fault surface for nearby area discrete point state of stress, and has some inconsistent with mechanics principle to a certain extent. A new fault surface processing method is put forward to improve critical slip theory. This method can consider influence of fault surface to all slope discrete point easily.3,Base on improved critical slip field theory, program is developed to realize the theory , calculate result showing with graph and format of date file.4. The validity of the program is tested with typical examples by strength reduction FEM and limit equilibrium method. The result proves validity of the program.5,Through practical application of PanZhiHua Steel group mining company ZhuJiaBaoBao strip mine slope stability analysis, it tests practicability and validity of the program .
