Packet Scheduler in wireless network is used to assign scheduling priority for all users, allocate wireless resource, e.g. codes, velocity and power, so as to satisfy kinds of systems'performance demand. This thesis focuses on the researching of packet scheduling algorithms in HSUPA system. The Main contents are as follows:In chapter 1, we briefly introduce the key wireless resource management techniques of the mobile communications system and the packet scheduling algorithm of the wireless system. In chapter 2, firstly introduce the development of the wireless packet scheduling algorithms, and then expatiate on fundamental of packet scheduling algorithms etc Round Robin scheduling algorithm, Max C/I and Proportional Fairness scheduling algorithm combining with the mathematic model of scheduling algorithm. In chapter 3, we briefly introduce the key techniques of HSUPA system etc fast re-transmit and fast packet scheduling algorithm, and then describe system simulation table. In chapter 4, we give a combined time and velocity scheduling algorithm. This algorithm classify users based on the buffer status, and then allocate the resource based on velocity requirement and compensate user reference to fair opportunity principle. Through simulations, we analyze and compare the performance of three scheduling algorithms. In chapter 5, we summarize the whole thesis and point the issues to be further studied.
