As the development of electric power industry in our country, the utility of blending-coal is more popular, the study about blending-coal characteristics becomes more important than before, the study about fusion characteristic of blending coal is the important one of them.Although coal blending is only a simple mechanical compositing process, its coal-ash changing tendency is very complex, being very different from mean value and representing no linear relation, some times the fusion point of blending coal is lower than any of single coals, but some times it is opposite. This kind of phenomenon is difficult to explain with the influent rule about composition alteration of coal-ash to its fusing characteristic, so we should study the composition and alteration of minerals in coal. When different kinds of coals were blended, the composition and content of minerals in blending coal change, in the heating-process, chemical reactions are occurring in minerals and between different minerals, at the same time, low temperature eutectic phenomenon may be occurring between different kinds of minerals, in the result of them, the fusion character of blending coal changes. In the past, the minerals behaviors of single coal have been studied profoundly in world, but the study in fusing and slag characteristic of blending coal is still very few, certain studies have been proceeded from the aspect of chemical constitution alteration, but the fusing mechanics of blending coal-ash is studied very little from minerals.In this paper, we studied the fusing character of blending coal on the basis of previous study. The paper choose the pingshuo coal and shenmu coal to study, this two kinds of coal have special fusing characteristics and have been used widely. TG-DSC testing of blending coal-ashes is proceeded to study the representing feature of coal-ashes fusion on curves, then XRD testing of coal-ash is proceeded to study the alternating rule of minerals composition according to mixture ratio, then the mineral behaviors of blending coal-ashes in heating process and the influence of coal blending to mineral composition in ashes are studied, and analysis the influent rule about difference of mineral composition to ash fusing characteristic, giving curtain supervision for coal blending in the future.
