As the systems and scales of modern large-span spatial structures are more and more complicated and large, it's more and more critical to select the construction technology and analytic methods. Because a reasonable construction method and scientific construction analysis can ensure the erection process safe and economic. However, the construction mechanics analysis of the whole erection process is difficult, for the construction of large-span spatial structure has many associated and indeterminate factors which affect the behavior of the structure during the erection process. Nowadays, researches on the construction analysis for large-span spatial structures are insufficient.This article has summarized the common used construction technologies for large-span spatial structures, as well as the advanced in construction methods in and abroad, and then pointed out the states of arts for the construction analysis of large-span spatial structures and its insufficiency.In this article, the development, characteristics and mathematical fundamentals of construction mechanics are introduced. On foundation of the summary for present numerical analysis methods of construction mechanics, the whole erection process multistage numerical mechanics analysis based on nonlinear finite element method is put forward, and its analysis procedures are detailedly descripted, and two approximate calculation methods in linear range named multistage block analysis and multistage cumulative analysis are also introduced. The multistage construction analysis method has been successfully used to simulate the whole erection process of a 102m-span barrel vault grid structure and a 118m-span double-layer spherical reticulated shell.Based on the theory of multistage construction analysis, the whole erection process construction analysis program module in MSTCAD is finished. The example calculations have verified its accuracy.The classifications, characteristics and recent applications of sliding construction are summarized. Some key technologies of sliding construction such as calculation of sliding drift load, sliding nonsynchronous affection, sliding dynamic response, stability of sliding blocks, and affection on structural mechanics for different sliding blocking have been researched, and the corresponding programs have been coded.Practical researches were carried out based on two large projects: The erection process and key sliding construction technologies of 120m-span cylindrical reticulated shell structure coal storage of Beijing huaneng power plant are detailedly introduced. The whole erection process was simulated with self-coded programs, and some valuable conclusion are gained. The accumulative sliding and prestress tensioning construction technology of prestressed cylindrical reticulated shells coal storage of Xinxiang power plant was represent, and the whole erection construction process was monitored by fiber bragg grating sensor system. Lots of monitored datum have been gained, and some experience of accumulative sliding and prestress tensioning construction are concluded.At the end of this article, the main conclusions of my works were addressed, followed by the future work to be done.
