| In this paper, the transmission system of a kind of tracer is designed initially, and its control system is researched.Based on the diverse articles and issues about this kind of tracer, and according to the technical condition of our country, the design of the transmission system and the control software of the tracer is discussed, its hardware system is also introduced.The traditional tracer has the disadvantages of lower transmission precision, hulking body, and it is hard to fix and transport. This limits its maneuverability. In order to change this adverse situation, a new kind of design concept is initiated in this paper, it designs the whole transmission structure based on the goals of enhancing its transmission precision, slimming its body and reducing its weight. The control software is fixed in the PC/104 Embedded Computer, it works in the environment of DOS, and it adopts the designing concept of level module. The relationship and function of each module is described one by one in this paper, and the main flow pictures of the programme are given. In addition, the whole programme is based on C language, thismakes the programme concise, intelligible, and understandable, all of these advantages contribute to the management and maintenance of the programme, what is more important is that it can be transplanted easily.At last, the simulation is done according to the tracing process of the tracer.
