Based on characteristics of reservoir geology and production performance, the status quo of reservoir development about XinDu 1 Block is studied. With the comprehensive methods of petroleum geology, percolation, reservoir engineering, petroleum engineering, hydrodynamic, the reservoir development status are analyzed. This paper points out two main problems facing the reservoir development, which include as follws:firstly, poor connectivity of sandstone, poor pore structure and the micro-pore structure is unfavorable for oil seepage; secondly, reservoirs energy is inadequate, development degree of reservoirs is uneven, and the current recovery is relatively low with the undesirable measures. The article focuses on reservoir development feasibility of air injection on XinDu 1 Block to solve the problems. Crude oil and air on Static low-temperature oxidation, dynamic low-temperature oxidation, air injection displacement as well as safe blasting experiments are researched in this paper, the results show that use of air injection to enhance oil recovery in this block is feasible, intermittent air injection and intermittent production can be used to implement the Field Pilot Test.
