Study On Change Of Landscape Pattern Of Coastal Wetland In Liaoning Province

Wetland, together with forest and ocean, makes up the three ecosystems of the whole world and is called "the kidney of the Earth". Because of the man-made destructions, which leads to the irrational exploitation and utilization of the wetland, however, the areas of the wetland are strikingly diminished, followed by the recession of its functions and benefits, also the severe thread to the existence of the wetland and the development of its functions. Thus, the protection, restoration and exploitation of the wetland have attracted world wide attention.The coastland in Liaoning Province is rich in resources of coastal wetland, which plays an important role in regional economy development. In this paper , three landsat ETM(respective obtained in 1990, 2000 and 2006) were interpreted as basic information sources, using the more explicit landscape metrics, based on the two graphic databases of the wetland dynamic variation from 1990 to 2000 and from 2000 to 2006, we study on change of landscape pattern of coastals wetland in Liaoning Province. we revealed the features and rules of the dynamic variation of the wetland landscape patterns in 1990, 2000 and 2006. The study shows that there is a decrease in wetland area , from the 17540.04km2 in 1990 to the 17331.72km2 in 2000,whose amplitude is 1.6% ; with a decrease in wetland patcheness , from 2021 of 1990 to 1 770 of 2000, while the diversity and eveness are decreasing, from 1.425 and 0. 594 of 1990 to 1.409 and 0.588 of 2000. There is a decrease in wetland area , from the 17331.72km2 in 2000 to the 17204.46km2 in 2006, with a decrease in wetland patcheness , from 1770 of 2000 to 1610 of 2006, while the diversity and eveness are increasing.
