Synthesis of ethyl acetate and metaldehyde and N-(α-hydroxyethyl)formamide with acetaldehyde from the industry waste liquid and preparation of aluminium ethylate were studied in this paper.To extract and purify acetaldehyde from the waste liquid from industry which contents 12.5%of acetaldehyde.Acetaldehyde of 96.2%was obtained after two of distillation in normal pressure.Aluminium ethylate was synthesized by the reaction of aluminum and ethanol.Using the method of single factor to optimize the experimental conditions,the following optimal reaction conditions were found:aluminum,5 g;ethanol,160 mL;mercuric chloride,0.05 g; reaction temperature,90℃;reaction time,8 h.The yield of aluminium ethylate was up to 91.0%.The synthesis of ethyl acetate from different content of acetaldehyde extracted from an industry waste liquid by Tishchenko reaction was studied.The higher content of acetaldehyde was,the higher yield of ethyl acetate was attained.Using the method of single factor to optimize the experimental conditions,the following optimal reaction conditions were found: For synthesizing ethyl acetate,the mass ratio of aluminium ethylate to acetaldehyde was 1:10, the reaction temperature was 30℃,the reaction time was 3 h.76.3%of the content of ethyl acetate was attained.The conversion of acetaldehyde and the reacting selectivity were up to 91.2%and 86,6%,respectively.Aluminium ethylate prepared by using waste wires of aluminium as catalyst to reduce costs was tried.Using hydrobromic acid,hydrochloric acid and 732~# ion exchange resin as catalyst respectively,the synthesis of metaldehyde from was studied.Hydrobromic acid as the catalyst had the highest yield,up to 6.56%.Ethyl ether and pyridine were good at the reaction of the synthesis of metaldehyde.Using potassium carbonate as catalyst,N-(α-hydroxyethyl)formamide was synthesized by acetaldehyde.Using the method of single factor to optimize the experimental conditions, the following optimal reaction conditions were found:For synthesizing N-(α-hydroxyethyl) -formamide,the mol ratio of formamide to acetaldehyde was 1:1.2,the dosage of potassium carbonate was 0.6%of formamide(mol),the reaction temperature was 25℃,the reaction time was 70 min.The yield of the reaction was up to 60.7%.
