Plant growing Medium Spraying technology (PMS engineering technology) is one of vegetation Restoration technology on the side slope of stone and its core technology-PGM, which is a complex technology problem difficult to solve. Due to the general influence of geological landforms, change of climate and hydrology, soil-plant, site conditions and human factors, it is very difficult to recover and reforge vegetation on the side slope of stone under such difficult site conditions, and the chance of success is relatively low at present, especially in the semiarid districts of north China. Study on confect, production, dynamic variation rule and dosage of PGM is expected to perfect PMS technology, PGM confect and production theory and offer scientific guidance and reference to PMS engineering technology.PGM results show that: PGM physical and chemical structure is beneficial to the growth of plants in the slope, if its components weight ratio met the following range: peat is 50-65%, clay 10-25%, crop compost 10-16%, soil stabilizer 3-5%, soil amendment 4-6%, soil nutrition 1-8%, water retaining agent 2-3%, plant seeds 1.5-4%. In PGM production, zymophyte decomposed is adopted, and in construction process, layered spraying technology is adopted, lower-layer is matrix bottom with volume ration of soil and PGM no lower than 2:1, upper-layer is seeds with volume ration of soil and PGM no higher than 4:3.Results of PGM dynamic rule show that: there is lightly PGM compaction after construction and a positive correlation between PGM stability index and time, the effective value of three phases proportion is 43:36:21, and the loss degree is minor. PGM chemical constituents regularly change with construction period, initially it always drops down rapidly, and then the drop degree trends to gentle or even increase in later stage, general content can meet growth needs of plants. Therefore, it can be divided into three periods: medium-spraying technique period, soil material transition period and soil developing period. Meanwhile, it takes PGM content in plant's second growing year as the appraisal index for PMS engineering technology.
