Injected water tends to finger along high permeability layer as a result of heterogeneity exiting in a reservoir. The conflict between large amounts of residue reserves and low effective recovery practice is more serious when entering extra-high water cut period. Lamadian oil field is a multi-layer sand reservoir featured high thickness and heterogeneity. Though such measures as water injected in different layers, layer adjustment and second densing adjustment, the gap of water absorbing in lays is still big. Based on statistics applying isotope analysis method, water absorbing layers whose effective thickness is more than 2m account for 97 per cent, and bad layers smaller than 1m and outer layer are 48 per cent and 56.7 per cent respectively. The layers un-water flooded and low water flooded reach 60 percent in the third category oil layer. As an important complemented technology, chemical profile adjustment technology can realize mechanical delicate grading to increase recovery level. So, the study on various profile adjustment agents'adaptability and application effects is of great importance.
