Based on the survey data of 18 sample plots, the text studies on the soil characterstics andvegetation restoration condition of Liumao graphite deposit wasteland in Jixi city,intent toraval that succession rule of different abandoned years of the wasteland,and the influence ofseabuckthron to the vegetation restoration and preservation of soil and water on the graphitedeposit,and make fringe discuss to the land cultivation of mining area.Main research resultsinclude the blow seeral facets:From the darn crest to the bottom layer, along with the increment of abandoned years,plantspecies,coverage,and biomass has the trend of rninish gradually, and the coverage of thesample plots where abandoned year>10 years reach 50 percent, on the one hand,this is due tothe properties of the soil receive improvement with the increment of the abandoned years,onethe other hand, this is due to the function of blocking floodwater of the seabuckthron woodlandsituated at the middle and upper of the dam crest,prevent the soil lose of the lower layer bythe rain and water.Prominent species gradually from drought-resisted Artemisia sieversianaEhrh. Ex Willd,Xanthium sibiricum Patin ex Willd. etc,turn to hygrophilous plantsPhragmites australis (Clav.)Trin., Sacciolepis viridis(L.)Beauv, etc,and occur Lespedezabicolor Turcz.,Populus davidiana Dode.,Salix matsudana Koidz.,show that this communitytypes has the rudiment of arbor,shrub,herbage layered,community structure gradually tendto complication and stability.The result of species diversity measutement show that, Simpson indexes of the herbagecommunity under the seabuckthron woodland are 1.52 and 1.30 respectively, notable higherthan the district of degenerate non-father and the district of natural vegetationrestoration,Shannon-Wiener indexes and eveness indexes notable lower than other sampleplot,make out that as a result of the notable function of the woodland of seabuckthron which ismanpower restored,represent that ecological predominant degree is upper; Alatalo evenessindex and Pielou eveness index notable lower the other sample plots,this mainly due to onenessof manpower planting vegetation and coverage is biggish,the intrinsic multiplex enviviromentgradually turn to dankness environment,restrain the course of vegetation under the forest,causespatial distribution of plant species is not even,result in lower community eveness, communityspecies diversity indexes measured by the importance value are more reasonable,and preferablyreflect natural restoration of the herbs between different community types.Results of investigation indicate that, soil texture of Liumao graphite deposit wastelandin Jixi city are all powder lark grit,and soil hasn't distinct layered phenomena.Sample plotswhich are situated on the superstratum darn crest,soil are rather tight,and underlayer soil are rather loose.Soil water content has the trend of minish gradually along with environmentalgrdient,seil content has the trend of gradually lower, and soil content notable lower than othersample plots which is situated at manpower woodland of seabuckthron.This is showthat,natural restoration rate of abandoned ruing areas is very slow, and adopt rationalmeasurements of vegetation restoration can accelerate the restoration and rebuilding of themining areas effectively.
