Evaluate On Ecosystem Health Of Fukang Oasis

Studying the health of Xinjiang oasis ecosystem and finding the disaccorded factors, which attain the unification of the economy development and environment protection, is the key of realizing the arid area oasis economy and society sustainable development.Taking the Fukang oasis as the study object, basing on ecosystem health theory and combining the oasis ecosystem structure and function, this paper designs ecosystem health estimate index system of Fukang oasis, discusses the influence of human activities by RS and GIS technology and taking the press–state- reflection index as the conceptual frame and evaluates its healthy status from 1987 to 2003:(1) From 1987 to 2003 Fukang oasis ecosystem health in the overall trend of improvement, primary productivity oasis ecosystems and ecosystem services worth all marked increase.(2) From 1987 to 1993 Fukang oasis ecosystem health thresholds in [0.2-0.4] scope of the health status of poor oasis ecosystem, the vitality of the system low, outside pressure, ecological functions have been unable to meet the needs of the maintenance of oasis ecosystems, the degradation of oasis ecosystems has begun.(3) From 1994 to 2003 Fukang oasis ecosystem health thresholds in [0.4-0.6] scope oasis ecosystem health by 1994 had risen to the previous state of poor health status in general.
