The field test had been proceeded for polymer flooding by 1992. The water quality worse and worse treated by conventional agents, that results in visbreaking of the polymer solution in the injection distribution system, and restricts the application of polymer flooding in some reservoir. Therefore it is becoming a key to polymer flooding that the study on agents for the produced liquid from polymer Flooding.To meet the characteristics of the produced liquid and the difficulty of wastewater-treatment, agent's capability of oil-water separation and demulsibility turned into the focus during designing the formula. At the same time, the influence of treated water on PAM had been considered. The agent design based on the synergetic effect among surfactants.Paper presented the development of water treatment, the present situation of water quality, the formula designs, laboratory experiments and the effects value of the application in field.(1) The analysis of water treatment and water quality for polymer Flooding Produced liquid from polymer Flooding contains a lot of residual PAM, and themacromolecular PAM characterizes the produced liquid the higher viscidity of water, the better ability to carry grains, the stronger resistance to settlement or delimination, the deeper emulsification and so on. The dominant factors had been analyzed through the present situation of water treatment.(2) The formula designs of SCL-1The anionic Polyacrylamide has been extensive used in home oil fields. There are various HPAM in Shengli Oil Field, their molecular weights distributing between five million and fifteen million. To protect HPAM's molecular structure from affection or destruction by agents, the non-ionic surfactant was selected to be the primary component for the formula design. Ultimately SCL-1, a new water treatment agent, has come into being with dynamical deemulsification performance, though regulating charge neutralization by adjuvants.
