Turmeric industry wastewater comes from the process of producing turmeric element, which is composed of waste mixture liquid of distillation and hydrolyzing (under acid or basic condition) and washing wastewater. Through investigating technics of turmeric factories and analyzing water quality of Turmeric industry wastewater, the thesis finds that Turmeric industry wastewater is belong to high density organic wastewater, that it is thick brown, that it has low acidity, that its component is complex, that it contains much turmeric ramification, which is dyeable and difficult degradable surfactant, and that its biodegradability is not good.The thesis find that the combined coagulating agent of YJD and PAM is very good at color removal, coagulation and sedimentation for Turmeric industry wastewater at low pH and temperature, while combined coagulating agent of Al2(SO4)3 and PAM is very good at high pH and temperature. Turmeric industry wastewater can remove color and degrade COD well by Fenton's reagent oxidation with Ca(OH)2 neutralization, PAM coagulation and sedimentation process. The experiment finds that start temperature and pH of solution and quality of Fe2+ added into effect the speed of Fenton's reagent oxidation greatly. The thesis establishes the model of the time of beginning to boil and the three factors. The study find that the active carbon can remove color and degrade COD well at certain pH and temperature, which is a kind of active carbon with high comparative surface area and well-proportioned hole, that 03 can remove color well and degrade some COD at certain pH and temperature. The experiment shows that treatment result of cooperation of active carbon absorption and O3 oxidation is better than that of active carbon absorption or O3 oxidation separately. The thesis render three wastewater treatment project and make economy and benefit analysis for each, which is based on the result of the study and feature of turmeric factory.
