The Magnification Study On Purifying Tail-Gas Of Producing Yellow Phosphorus

. Carbon monoxide (CO) and Hydrogen (H2) ware the material of many chemicals. Dimethyl carbonate (DMC) is an important chemical in the current chemical industry because it can be substituted for phosgene and Dimethyl sulfate, which are highly toxic compounds, in a variety of reactions. DMC is much less toxic compared with phosgene and Dimethyl sulfale. Therefore these advantages stimulate to research on oxidative carbonylation of methanol to DMC by using purified tail-gas of yellow phosphorus in the C| chemistry fields.In producing yellow phosphorus by electric cooker, then there are 1 ton of yellow phosphorus, and by-produce 2500m3~3000m3 of tail gas. There are about 85%~92%(v) of CO. 2~6% (v)of H2, 4-6% (v) nitrogen. l~2%(v) of CO2 . sulphur, phosphorus, arsenic, fluorin and soon in the yellow phosphorus tail gas. The impurity of sulphur, phosphorus, arsenic, tluorin can poison the catalyzer of carbonylation synthesize. So the tail gas is not used very well, but is burnt to discharge the air. This method is polluting not only the environment, but also wasting the resource of CO. Therefore, using the tail gas very well is an importance research project relation to life of the corporation to piioduce yellow phosphorus.In this thesis, author establishes an analyse method of yellow phosphorus tail gas by referring to lots of references about the colligate using and wipe off the impurity from the tail gas. Author and his research fellow have development new catalyzer name after JL-2, and found a new technology - first, washing by alkali, second, washing by water, next catalyze and oxidation for purify the tail gas. The results shows the impurity of sulphur, phosphorus, arsenic, fluorin have been escape from the tail gas, and the content of impurity ren.nant in the tail gas ware all under 1 ppm. After accomplish the purifying, the gas have put into one passage PSA system for remove the carbon dioxide, hydrogen nitrogen, methane, the sorbent is PU-1. by Beijing university produce. The result Shows the content of CO is over 98%(v), the CO gas can been used for carbonylation to produce methyl formate (MF), DMC, and Dimethyl oxalic ester(DMO).Author have completed the middle scale design (60M3/h yellow phosphorus tail gas ) of the technology base the research achievement.
