The antennal sensilla of eight Bombus species, Bombus(Bombus) ignitus Smith, Bombus(Bombus) hypocrite Pérez, Bombus(Bombus) patagiatus Nylander, Bombus(Bombus) lucorum(L.), Bombus(Pyrobombus) hypnorum (L.), Bombus(Pyrobombus) modestus Eversmann, Bombus(Megabombus) consobrinus Dahlbom and Psithyrus flavidus Eversmann were studied using scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results of this study were as follows:(1) Ten types of antennal sensilla were found in eight Bombus females: sensilla trichoid (I, II), sensilla chaetica (I, II), sensilla basiconica (I, II), sensilla placodea, sensilla cavity, sensilla cylindric, and Bohm bristles. However, it lacked sensilla basiconica II on the antennal of 8 Bombus males.(2) It was no significant difference in distribution among 8 Bombus species. Sensilla trichoid, sensilla basiconica, sensilla placodea, sensilla cavity only occurred in Flagellum; sensilla chaetica I occurred in all antennal; sensilla chaetica II and sensilla cylindric only occurred in scape; Bohm bristles only occurred in Pedicel.(3) The results of variance analysis based on the number of antennal sensilla of 8 Bombus males showed that it was significant difference among Bombus (Psithyrus) spp. and other species.(4) The results of clustering analysis based on the number of antennal sensilla of 8 Bombus males showed that Bombus, Pyrobombus, Megabombus had a relatively close relationship, and Psithyrus was distant from these three subgenera. This conclusion was the same as the result of discriminate analysis.(5) It indicated that they have a parallel relationship within genus Bombus. Psithyrus as an independent subgenus can be attributed to genus Bombus. However, Psithyrus species have smaller numbers of antennal sensilla than Bombus species, and they are significant different. The results showed that Bombus, Pyrobombus, Megabombus had a relatively close relationship, and Psithyrus was distant from these three subgenera.
