The Applied Research Of WebGIS Based On XML

With rapid development of Internet, the application of GIS enters into the Internet quickly. As various methods of getting data, different type of original data and special GIS stored the space information resource, all of above cause the island of space information!In the paper, after compared with all kinds of application modes and technologies of WebGIS, we develop one WebGIS system based on Java virtual machines according to developing trend of WebGIS, which adopt the technologies of middle-object architecture such as JSP, Servlet .We use GML as geospatial model and store it in dbXMLwhich is one kind of Native XML Database in order to giving one applicable resolvent between various kinds of geospatial data. After compared with 3 kinds of geograph type, we adopt SVG, net vector graph standart, to implement the visible of geospatial data and develop layer control, attribute search and edit online etc based on SVG and meet the relevant function of WebGIS preferably.
