In this paper, many kinds satellites remote sensing images with different resolution, and magnetism and gravity data and seismic activity data in Weifang and its outer-ring area are processed by means of remote sensing (RS) and geographical information system (GIS) software. Some active fault zone is interpreted by these many kind result images and checked by field investigation.Different kinds of resolution images: MSS, TM, ETM+, Chinese resource satellite-2 data were processed with color enhancement, image integrate, space stretch, texture analyzing, adaptive filtering etc. by using ENVI3.5 software. Besides, magnetism and gravity data also were processed by MAPGIS software.On the basis of above result images and maps, active fault zone map were interpreted. At first, the active fault zone interpretation marks are built, for example, vertical dislocation sign and horizontal dislocation sign of active fault. 23 fault zones were been interpreted, the space distribution of the active faults of Weifang district are, determined, 7 important faults among 23 are selected in Weifang district, and them were verified in the field and measured the time of fault activity by TL method. At second, every kind remote sensing images, active fault zone interpretive result map and fundamental geographical map of Weifang can be managed and inquired on the environment of GIS software (ArcView3.2).
