Clinical And Experimental Study Of Jianpi Tongluo Formula On Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis

Objective:Objective to evaluate the clinical efficacy of Jianpi Tongluo Formula(JPTLF)in the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis,and to clarify its mechanism.Methods:TCM group was given JPTLF,and control group was given N-acetylcysteine(NAC).Efficacy indexes included TCM syndrome score,High resolution computed tomography(HRCT)score,six minute walk test(6MWT),St.George’s Respiratory Questionnaire(SGRQ),dyspnea score,pulmonary function,arterial blood gas analysis.The rat models of pulmonary fibrosis were established.After 4 weeks of intervention,general state,lung coefficient,pathological changes,hydroxyproline(HYP),antioxidant capacity,cytokines and autophagy protein were observed.Results:JPTLF could reduce TCM syndrome score(P<0.001).Total TCM effective rates in TCM group was 73.08%.JPTLF could reduce total HRCT score(P<0.05),increase6MWT(P<0.05)and reduce tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)(P<0.01).Lung coefficient of JPTLF high dose was decreased(P<0.05).In JPTLF middle and high dose groups,HYP,malondialdehyde and myeloperoxidase were decreased,superoxide dismutase,glutathione and interferon-γ were increased.All JPTLF dose reduced interleukin-6,interleukin-17 and TNF-α(P<0.001,P<0.01,P<0.05).p62 in middle dose group was decreased,and becline-1 in high dose group increased(P<0.05).Conclusion:JPTLF could reduce TCM syndrome and HRCT score,improve exercise endurance and quality of life.JPTLF could reduce the degree of pulmonary fibrosis,which may be related to antioxidation,regulation of cytokines and promotion of autophagy.
