Since the reform and opening up,China's sex ratio at birth is always imbalances and continue to increase. It could lead to the imbalance of ratio of the marriageable male to female in the marriage market in the future, such as the number of marriageable men much more than the number of marriageable women.Another side,in the new era the traditional marriage ring had been changed because of the increased migration and population movements.A large number of rural women migrant into the city for the salary and work so that they can find a city men to marry.Meanwhile,in recent years, the price of marriage and bride has been rose up more and more so that a large number of young men could face with "want marriage but cannot afford."Various social factors could lead to "marriage squeeze" that means many marital men could not find their spouses.Especially, when the generation after 90s enter into the marriage time, this marriage squeeze would lead to the accumulative effect. At the last,it is likely to lead to the "bachelor villages" appear at the poorest rural village in China. If a society cannot adapt and absorb so large number of older single men,it will be likely to result indifferent social problems, such as sexual violence, human trafficking, the marriage deal and missing children. There are so many older single men in the contemporary China,it have become a social problem. However,we should not think the "single men" must be a problem. The disorder sex ratio at birth, increased social mobility, changed traditional marriage ring and higher marriage cost, they all increase the older single men's burdens. So that their healthy situation will be relatively imperfect and unhealthy, include their physical, psychological and social healthy state, even more social anomie questions. This study attempts to answer the fundamental questions, such as explore and study in-depth the subjects'life and emotional dilemmas and their social anomie questions from the micro level and rooted in real life. What are their life situation, mental state, the actual living conditions and mental behavior? What is the relationship between these dilemmas and the "single" state?Do they have some special social anomie behaviors,it secretive exist in their life? Are these behaviors common phenomenon or individual phenomenon? How to evaluate their single life? What is their parents, close relatives, colleagues and neighbors' point of view?Whether is there tendency of "stigma" for the poor rural older single men? What are their expectations and aspirations for the future life?Whether can we find some ways to help older single men get over the life and emotional distresses? What is the best way to prevent and reduce social misconducts? This case study at S village of G Province survey and investigate 30 local rural older single men, especially their life, emotional state and social anomie behavior. At last,it formed a comparative study about the poor rural signal men based on the case study,so that we can cognize the complexity of the causes of the bachelor and the types of hierarchy. The study found:First, older single men who live in poor rural areas are relatively poor and constraints. The economic factors can lead them become single, but the single state can also lead them further facing with the increasingly economic difficulties, more and more lonely spirit.Their ability of development will be serious shortage situation.Eventually, they will show poverty, depression, low life lever, etc. In the real life, they are lack of self-change and self-development ability, and they have no fundamental solution to the current dilemmas of life.Despite they have slight expectations to the future, but more frustrated and disappointed. They do not have enough confidence and ability to their aged life so that some people want to adopt child.Others only lives on completely perfunctory state. Some poor rural bachelors have the obstacles to social communication so that their love and marriage failed and their social skills worsen. At last they will fall into the dilemmas of social intercourse. Some poor rural older single men's social network is very limited,so easily lead to a lack of social support situation.Rural older single men always try to be able to find a suitable partner to realize a family dream in their marriageable age. However, this desire to pursue a successful living conditionscould been torn to pieces by reality because of social, family and personal reasons. When they facing with severely challenge or trauma because of their individual life and emotionalexperiences, they tend to produce a variety of negative emotional experiences, such as depression, frustration, failureand escape. These negative feelings will be in the accumulation process, and there is no reasonable and proper way to resolve them. These will severely affected the rural older single men's normal social interaction and interpersonal process. It weakened their social interaction and social support networks, and reduced their opportunities of fall in love again. The poor rural men may be "single"because of the life dilemmas, but not necessarily always facing life dilemmas because of "single".Instead, they don't have to be "single" because of emotional difficulties, but they are likely to accumulate more emotional difficultiesbecause of'single".Second, because of the long-term single situation, rural older single menmust face with the regret to real lifeand the irrealizable expectations. However, their surronding situation is more traditional and conservative local society,so that they must obey the social order and the principles, and endure the norms and moral constraints particular in rural China. Many single men feel self-depreciation and lack of family feeling. They can not to integrate into community and society very well. Therefore, some of them will take some deviant behavior and social anomie behaviors to "show" self-existence.These acts include suicide, theft, prostitution, indecent women, gambling, and alcohol and so on.If we can not pay more attention to these acts,it will lead them to face with further social exclusion.Maybe there will many social security problems, family stability issues and personal development obstacles. In the rural communities, the old single men,"bachelor",will get more "stigma"understanding.Third, poor rural older single men may have a variety of life difficulties and emotional dilemmas, theymay be a causes that lead to their long single state or a result because of their long-term single state. These difficulties and dilemmas had restricted the rural older single men break them away from the "single"state. If we pay no attention to these dilemmas and let them continue to deteriorate, the poor rural older single men will look for alternative ways and methods to solve these problems. At last, the social anomie behaviors will be formed. We should focus on the poor rural older single men's life and emotional dilemmas in order to prevent the occurrence of social anomie behaviors. In this study,to undersand the rural old single men's lifeand emotional situation,as well as their social anomie behavior,we survey and investigate them from the microscopic perspective. This microscopic individuals study increase the understanding to the rural old single men.We could know more clearl details about their image in the mind of them and their own family, friends and neighbors.Through this field studies, complete portray the true image of the rural old single men and break the previous limits of research, such as focuses on macro perspective, focuses on exploration and validation of social structure, and focuses on interpretation of the reasons.By explored the relationship between rural old single men'slife and emotional dilemmasand their social anomie behaviors,we can find some effective means to solve their practical dilemmas, which is more important and practical.
