| Background: Abundant researches have proved the benefit of regular exercises.Yet,the definition of “proper” exercise,i.e.the form, strength, frequency and so on,is largely unknown. There are a lot of crucial questions about the physiological changes during and after exercises to be answer. And the issues of brain perfusion and brain function are among them. Objective: To detect the dynamic changes of blood after single bout of HIIT.Methods: Healthy male were scanned continuously for 40 minutes after one boot HIIT exercise.ASL was used to monitor CBF changes along with time. After preprocessed by BASIL of FSL,several ROIs were selected to retrieve CBF data from certain areas of brain. Results: All ROIs showed apparent decrease after HIIT,most of them maintained relatively stable for 25 to 30 minutes since the end of exercise, and rose slowly thereafter.Until the end of the scanning protocol, which was about 45 minutes after exercise, the CBF still had not returned their baseline. There were no significant differences between two sides. Conclusion: A single bout of HIIT could affect the brain blood supply for at least 45 minutes.Blood perfusion recoveries are similar in both sides among healthy men,the different speeds were found among different areas of the brain. Objective: To find out the brain networks change in healthy athletes. Methods: Recruit both healthy male with sedentary lifestyle and athletes who were professional or had been a professional sportsman, and exercised at least 2 hours per day.BOLD f MRI was used pre-,post-and 24 hours after single HIIT exercise,in order to figure out brain networks changes using ICA..Results: Several components showed differences during comparisons among different groups. There was also a network correlation change among participants in control group 24 hours after HIIT workout. Conclusion: Athletes may have different brain activity in certain brain areas after HIIT.The effect on network correlation among people with sedentary lifestyle may last longer than 24 hours. |
