| This dissertation explores the link between Geography Information System and World Wide Web information technologies. Using free software and public domain databases a GIS embedded World Wide Web server is created to demonstrate a method of superior information dissemination that compliments traditional desktop GIS. This prototype is provided to geographers for developing hands-on experiences in both GIS and World Wide Web information technologies which are foundations of future GIS. |
