The research topic of this paper is “The Development of New Media in South Korea and the Driving Forces Behind it.”The Asian cultural creative industry has gone through rapid development,which has resulted in worldwide attention for the economic growth and progress of China and South Korea.Media coverage of South Korea and China's linked ascension has resulted in a great deal of newfound research,leading to a great deal of significant data.This paper's goal is to provide a thematic connection between South Korea's development of New Media and how China stands as the force pushing for its growth.The research on South Korean New Media has been fragmented into five major industries: Mobile/Digital Cartoons,Anime,modern digital publishing,new media/influencer industry,and internet-based industries.The expansion of all of these new media industries has resulted in a boom in the field of analytics,which is how most of this information was gathered.This information has allowed for a detailed analysis towards features development and the rise of media influencers.Using the latest industrial reports,gathered scientific data,market research,and government agencies document,this paper applies a cultural lens towards the aforementioned information sources to create an understanding of the cultural perceptions and forces driving this growth in media.The information gathered has been studied and codified into five detailed breakdowns.Each of the five parts breaks the information into separate inter-connected portions apart from a South Korean angle and its impact on China's own industries.The sections “The major application of South Korean e-commerce services and features”,“South Korea's development course of the Internet industry.” and through.“South Korea's Internet industry management.” – are particularly focused on South Korea's natural relationship with the internet and how it boosted its industries and its perceptions.The sections titled “South Korean mobile communications industry development process”,“South Korea to move the mainstream of the media trends and trends”,“South Korean intelligence agent of the main value-added application services” and " mobile advertising industry trend analysis” break away from a purely internet-centric discourse to a study of the movements that create the socio-industrial trends of New Media.The information broken down in the aforementioned chapters is then used to look into the idiosyncrasies of the digital publishing industry.Digital publishing is a topic that is looked into in a multi-faceted form.The sections for it are titled “South Korea the present situation of the publishing industry”,“South Korea the development of digital publishing industry” and,“South Korea on the history of the publishing industry factors” “South Korea's digital publishing industry development strategy.”----These parts are studies of the rise of layered,multi-media project operations and their effects on the overall status quo.One of the phenomena given specific focus is the rise of “Webtoon” comics,which in itself create a completely new facet for consumer entertainment from a familiar place such as anime.In addition,the concept of streaming television services and new forms of media broadcasting are also given attention.The aforementioned are given focus due to their novel reinvigoration of other industries,due to their large impact in the field of communications.This research analyzes the cause and effect of the development of new media industries in order to encourage discussion and potential growth venues.South Korea's efforts in maintaining both modernity and traditional cultural concepts in unison are a complex beast.New media industries are rapidly changing the face of South Korea.These forces of change need to be broken down so the general public can fully understand the layers creating the world of today.
