Research On Regional Open Innovation And Spatial Spillovers Effects

With the rapid development of globalization,the enterprise competition gradually expand to the international market.As the new paradigm of international innovation development,open innovation has been the inevitable choice to promoting the internationalization development.Under information and convenient transportation development,all walks especially the electrical business enterprise is gradually break the geographical restrictions,and present a new development model as combination of virtual and reality.The effect of information and convenient transportation on regional innovation development is becoming more and more significantly.Under this condition,the article extend the proximity dimensions as convenient transportation,informational and open innovation proximity.Used mechanism analysis,principal component analysis,BP neural network,threshold regression and spatial panel econometric methods to explore the effect on regional open innovation performance and spatial spillovers.The main results of the study are summarized as follows:First,building the measure and the index system of regional open innovation systemically.Based on mechanism analysis,the regional and inter-regional open innovation measuring models were constructed including wide and deep dimensions.And using principal component analysis method,this article establishes the evaluation index system of regional open innovation.The index system can be divided into four dimensions,soft power foundation,hard power foundation,economic foundation and performance.The empirical results indicate that regional open innovation has spatial agglomeration trend,the ladder differences and diminishing trend significantly from east to west.Second,the open innovation degree is unbalanced in Jingjinji region,while it is higher and present the collaboration situation at Yangtze and Pearl River Delta regions.Second,examining the effects on spatial knowledge spillovers of open innovation.Based on classic Caniels knowledge spillovers model,the modified-model is developed on considering inter-regional open innovation,transportation and information convenient.The empirical results indicate that information and convenient transportation have been the main factors to boost innovation efficiency.The information spillovers has spatial agglomeration trend,and it is higher in Yangtze River basin.The leading role is insufficiency from Beijing and Tianjin to surrounding area,while it is significantly in shanghai.The variation amplitude of information spillovers is significantly differences in eastern coastal cities.Third,exploring the domestic development strategy of regional open innovation by using BP neural network and spatial panel econometric methods.The article analysis and points out that the exponential relationship between information,traffic convenience degree and regional open development.It also indicates that the perfect combination of information and convenient transportation improved spatial spillover effect on regional open innovation significantly,and it is mainly driven by information development.The higher informational development level improved regional innovation development more significantly and strengthened,the effect is steady and greatly increase the spatial spillover on regional open innovation.The convenient transportation degree improved regional innovation development significantly and showed decreased trend,the effect is unstable and can't improve the spatial spillover significantly.Fourth,exploring the international development strategy of regional open innovation by using mechanism analysis and threshold regression methods in multi-channel international technology spillovers perspective.Using informational development index(IDI)and convenient transportation as the threshold variables,threshold models were constructed to analyze the threshold effect on open innovation efficiency and international technology spillovers came from different channels of foreign direct investment(FDI),outward foreign direct investment(ODI)and international trade.The empirical results indicate that both under information and convenient transportation,international technology spillovers based on different channels improve the open innovation efficiency significantly and strengthened.International technology spillovers through international trade promote innovation efficiency bigger than FDI and ODI,while the increase sorting is just the opposite.Compared with convenient transportation,informational development level does more effects on international technology spillovers.Under the condation,the east regional can strength foreign direct investment in the international development strategy,while central and western strength investment and trade activities.Fifth,extending the proximity dimensions to analysis the spatial spillover effects on regional innovation and open innovation.The article is building the measures of informational proximity,convenient transportation proximity,open innovation proximity and combined proximities,then using spatial panel econometric methods to explore the effects.The empirical results indicate that positive spatial autocorrelation is significantly and strengthened on regional open innovation.Under the single and combined dimensions of proximity,the presence of Chinese inter-provincial knowledge spillovers is much evident.Open innovation proximity make somewhat higher effects on inter-regional knowledge spillovers than other proximity does.The combined proximity does not behavior as prediction in that it can't promote inter-regional knowledge spillovers much more.Sixth,analyzing the relationship between policy supply and actual demand theoretically.Based on the firm perspective and the difference research,the policy matching model is constructed to analyze the matching degree and the environment variables.Aimed to provide a theoretical research tool for organization department shift and improve the policy.
