The Measurements And Empirical Analysis On Social Integration Degree Evaluation Of Youth Floating Population

With the development of urbanization in our country,the floating population of the city,especially the youth,has increased rapidly.The mass disturbances of young floating population happen frequently at present.It has aroused great concern of the government and the community in terms of managing the large number of young floating population,so it is very important to analyze the demand of youth floating population and promote their social integration,This study focuses on the social inclusion of young floating population.The major issues,needs and the main factors affecting the social integration of the young floating population.The results of this study can provide the guideline for the governments to better manage the young floating population.This study combines the practical experience of urban young floating population management,the theory of floating population,the management needs hierarchy theory and the social security system innovation theory together based on the current conditions in China,and summarized the basic ideas and calculation method of floating population into the social youth degree evaluation.The interviews and questionnaires are used to identify the main issues and key affecting factors in the social integration of young floating population.The main results are shown as follows:Firstly,a new,more practical significance youth floating population social integration evaluation index system is identified based on the existing literature.In this index system,there are nine second level indicators and thirty-five detailed indicators in four aspects including economic integration,social activities,policy acceptance and cultural adaptation.The system not only takes into account the dominant and recessive indicators,objective and self-evaluation indicators,but also introduces the two-way interaction between the floating population and local residents.Social integration involves in political economic culture society and many other aspects.Social integration process is a dynamic process which is from external economic status promotion to the culture,values and ideas recognition of life in the urban environment.Secondly,this study proposes an improved fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method based on two order convergence technology,and constructs a social inclusion evaluation model for youth floating population.Fuzzy integral evaluation method can solve the problem of fuzzy understanding of the respondents,and it has strong applicability to the complex system problems which have great correlation between the influencing factors.We use triangle fuzzy number to deal with the construction of fuzzy semantics,and use second order convergence to deal with index weights and fuzzy value.Triangle fuzzy number and fuzzy logic are employed to express the opinions of the interviews and subjective evaluation values,which can reduce subjectivity and improve the objectivity and scientific evaluation.This study also presents a new two stage convergence method based on clustering analysis,which can greatly reduce the respondent's opinions and subjectivity.The empirical study shows that second order convergence will eliminate the deflection of respondents significantly,and reduce the influence of subjective factors in the progress of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation.Thirdly,an empirical study about the social integration of the young floating population is done,and the demand level theory is employed to analyze the demands of the young floating population to provide theoretical reference and scientific basis for the development of young floating population management.,the paper calculates the overall social integration degree and individual social integration degree of the floating population in Beijing from the government and individual perspective respectively(The young floating population with college degree and without college degree are separated in the empirical study considering the differences of floating population in different cities).The empirical analysis results show that the overall social integration degree of the floating population in Beijing is 0.5284,which is in a medium level.Further analysis on the overall social integration degree of the floating population can tell two differences:first,in the progress of social integration of young floating population,culture integration is best,social life is next,and the policy acceptance and economic integration is the worst.Second,there are differences between different groups,such as the group highly educated degree has high degree in social integration than the group with low-level education especially in the economic integration.The data analysis from the individual perspective shows that physical value needs(physiological needs and security needs)is the leading demand for most young floating population.At the same time,some young people with high income have strong social needs.Therefore,this study suggests to improve the income,strengthen the education or training,improve the young floating population rights protection system and the household registration system,build social connection mechanism and other specific policy recommendations,to improve the management of young floating population.The innovations of this paper are as followed:The first point is studying the youth floating population management from the perspective of social integration.Second,social integration evaluation system for the young floating population including economic integration,social activities,policy acceptance and cultural adaptation is established.Thirdly,an improved fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method based on two order convergence technology is proposed.The last point,this paper puts forward a series of innovative ideas and measures to improve the social integration of the young floating population based on the theory of management and sociology,.Young floating population social integration degree study is the precondition of scientific young floating population management policy,and is also the important guarantee to improve the level of social management.This study can provide theory reference for scholars interested in the young floating population social integration degree,and the results can be applied to the young floating population in social management,which has important theoretical significance and practical value.
