Study On College Students' Normative Legal Awareness Education

For the first time Chinese Communist Party set the reform and opening up to the rule of law as the theme of the plenary session of the 4th plenary session of 18th CCP Central Committee, and the general target is to form a system serving the socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics and build a country under the socialist rule of law. It is the fundamental way to achieve this target for cultivating qualified citizens by law. Normative legal awareness is the basic quality of qualified citizens by law. Normative legal awareness is correct understanding, evaluation and emotional experience of law. Normative legal awareness includes people's spiritual dignity, self-discipline and mutual recognition. This kind of subjective spirits is the soul of legal awareness. As a result, people's legal awareness has become the legal awareness of the subject, and then the legal awareness has the mind and soul, and thus the law will fully realize its mission. Therefore, training college students to become legal citizens with normative legal awareness has become an important part of overall implementation of the strategy of governing the country by law, and it is a fundamental project in the construction of a socialist country ruled by law.The thesis follows this main line of normative legal awareness education, under the guideline of Marxist Theory, and adopts the logic-historic and comparative method, the critical analysis and empirical research methods, multi-discipline research method, and survey questionnaire method etc. On the basis of analyzing the connotation and the inscape of normative legal awareness, the relevant categories of education of normative legal awareness, the thesis puts forward the connotation, target and main tasks of education of normative legal awareness, recalls and summarizes the history of college students' normative legal awareness education after the reform and opening up. It shows that college students' legal consciousness education is an inevitable stage in the development of legal education in colleges and universities, and it is an important part of legal spirit education. Through a questionnaire survey, the thesis analyzes the current situation of college students' normative legal awareness education. From the historical necessity and urgency of the value of space-time point of view, the author thinks that normative legal awareness education must become a fundamental goal of contemporary university students' legal education. This is the basic premise to realize the general goal of the socialist country under the rule of law in China. According to the goal and reality of college students' normative legal awareness education, the author puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions regarding to college students' normative legal awareness education. The author thinks that strengthening college students' normative legal awareness education is not only to establish the idea of normative legal awareness and enhance the functions of subject team of college students' normative legal awareness education, but also to build up college students' law awareness education curriculum system. The construction path of "One Principal Type plus Three Secondary Types" is raised. "One Principal Type" means the main channel. That is to say, the knowledge system that can reflect the objective and content of college students' normative legal awareness education is established in the course "ideological and moral cultivation and legalbasis". "Three Secondary Types" means establishing an information platform that can develop college students' normative legal awareness in college students' general and optional courses, creating cultural atmosphere that may increase college students' normative legal awareness on campus, and creating ecological environment that may actively encourage college students' pursuit of normative legal awareness in society.
